HyperSTAR

The HyperSTAR is a class 2 radio mute. When an active low mute signal from any hands free car kit is provided to the HyperSTAR, a command will be sent over the GM class 2 data bus which will put the radio into telephone mode. The speakers will mute, CD and tape playback will pause, and a telephone symbol will be displayed on your radio. If so equiped, the audio output from your hands free car kit can be connected into the automobiles amplifier for playback out of the left front speaker. When the mute signal is removed from the HyperSTAR, the radio is switched back to normal operating mode.

The HyperSTAR is intended for vehicles that do not currently have onstar installed, or, have onstar installed and wish to use a hands free kit with the keypad and microphone that came with it.

Included with each HyperSTAR is an interface cable for connecting to your vehicle.
