2005 H2 LUX

2005 H2 LUX

Hello,
I'm strongly considering your product. It sounds like it's exactly what I've been searching for!
I could not find installation instructions on the site, can anyone help with that? Also, does it operate with the steering wheel controls as far as initiating a call and ending a call? I understand that the Navi voice is disabled, is this true? Does this product interfere with any other Navi functions? Thanks for your time.

Hi,
You can email tech support for specific vehicle installation, but basically you replace the onstar module located behind the onstar buttons on the dash, with the bluestar module. A plug and play operation, which give you steering wheel access as you would expect to make, answer, and end calls.
Al onstar functions are disabled, but the nav will still work fine speaking directions as you drive. If your nav system supported voice recognition, this will be disabled as that is processed in the onstar vcim module.

Got it quick! Thanks for the fast shipping. Installed it on my lunch hour (in my suit), easy.
A few questions.
What firmware update would I have? I noticed an update release a few days before I ordered, would my Bluestar have been updated with the most recent version before it shipped?
The volume control does not stay where I set it. I'm using the red button and the volume is adjusting, is it supposed to stay that way or do I have to adjust it each time I get in the car?
So far, so good. Great product!

I think I've tried everything. It works flawlessly for 4-5 key cycles, then nothing. It won't pair, no flashing light, nothing. I have to unplug the box and reinstall it from scratch then it will work for 4-5 more key cycles. Any suggestions?

Try loading update 11-0401. This might help.

I've loaded the update. Problems persist. It's of no use to me the way it performs.

Just curious, are you still having problems with your bluestar? I am thinking about getting one for my 2006 H2 but I don't know much about this product.

I did not get my issues rectified so I ended up sending it back. They worked with me tirelessly and were very gracious about the return, that is the reason I keep checking back to see if my issues have been rectified.
If it worked for my particular application, it would be the best out there.
Since I tried BlueStar, I've tried the others and nothing else provides the seemless operation as the BlueStar. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they work the bugs out so I can purchase one.
