Any hints on installing Bluestar2010

I am installing Bluestar 2010 in a 2009 corvette. My chevrolet dealer tells me the On star module is accessed via removing the glove box door. Is this correct?

Also will I be able to use the ON Star microphone on the driver's door post after I change out the On star module for the Blue Star 2010?
