Hi mrcostar,

Any progress on getting the A2DP code to run on CLASS2 vehicles?

Ok just got my unit back. Audio & Calls only come through the 3.5mm jack now :( Is it possible to downgrade and get the old functionality back? I really liked having the audio override any audio that I might have playing through the CD player or radio. Other than the caller-id showing up on the DIC I have no way of knowing I have a call coming in if I'm not already on AUX.

I have a G8 with the Onstar in the trunk so I haven't even bothered running a cable yet so I can't comment on audio quality.

If I can downgrade could someone provide instructions on how to do so, if it's more than just flashing the old BIN file.

Audio should still come out of the onstar path as normal. It might be you have to resync the radio by putting the onstar back in for a few engine cycles.
This is a known G8 issue.

Yeah, I put the Onstar module back in and made a call with it and that usually resynced it before. I'll throw it in the car for a few cycles and see what she does. For such a simple device I seem to screw everything up.

I plugged the onstar module back in, cycled the car three times during each cycle I placed a call to onstar, but still not syncing with the radio. I left the factory module in there figured I would try later when I got home tonight.

Ok the drive home fixed it. Working good other than me not having the cable run and it's hijacking the audio from my existing dock but I'll remedy that this weekend.

Any update on streaming audio quality? Sounds pretty bad. If I just plug my phone directly into the radio it sounds fine.

Finally got a temporary cable today and did a quick test. Audio quality is good for me and on par with my old Nexus One A2DP dock, currently using iPhone 4S now. I was concerned about the previous post since mine is located in the trunk but mine is as good as you can expect from Bluetooth 2.1. If it continues to work well I'll be running a cable under the carpet and connect to the rear AUX input for permanent installation.

Looking forward to the steering wheel controls but great work so far.

Ok, been playing with this a bit and I have to say I'm very happy so far! I carry an iPhone 4S & also an iPad 2, and have successfully connected both. Although I have to disable bluetooth on my phone for the iPad to work it seems nearly flawless. Siri works off my steering wheel controls, although that seems to be intermittent at this point. First time I tried it worked perfectly but since then it seems to not work more often. Playing Infinity Blade II a bit this morning on the iPad and the audio was just ever so slightly behind but synced better than Airplay on my Apple TV2s on my home network, very cool. If anyone was waiting to buy now is the time, I was thinking I should have just went the OnStar with Bluetooth route but with A2DP working I'm SOOOO glad I stuck it out.

EDIT: Did some more testing, steering wheel controls are really sketchy, but everything else is working great.

So I have been using my bluestar 2010 for some months now and it is still working as intended. It sounds like some of you have had some success with the audio streaming. Have the kinks been worked out yet or is it still going through testing? Really looking forward to having this feature. Great unit!
