Voice dialing

I'm considering purchasing a Bluestar unit, but I have a question.
Vehicle - 2004 GMC Yukon XL
Phone - Motorola Bionic Droid

Question: Will pressing the phone button on my steering wheel initiate voice dialing?

Edit: Has this function worked for anyone? I found some posts stating that it does not, that they must push button on mirror, is that true in all cases?

Must hold the mute button 1-2 seconds longer than just pressing it.
