Caller ID - or Number ID?

Hello, i just recived my Bluestar today and installed in a 2007 Silverado.
My display on the dash shows the phone number - not the name assccoiated to the number. Is this what it is supposed to do?

I use an Iphone 4 - when i do start up the vehicle my name does appear on the dash display.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

My '07 Silverado shows only the incoming # also.

yes it only shows the number.Where all wating for AD2p. No updates in 8 months

Hi,
Can anyone answer these questions? I got my new costar and installed it on my 2003 Avalanche. I have no display of name, caller ID or number, or incoming call number is this normal? I have a fac Nav system and I use a droid x phone. Also I thought while in the middle of a call and the engine is shut down you can still talk? I was in the middle of a call and turned the engine off and it disconnected me from the call.

My 04 Silverado maintains the accessory power (~10 minutes) after the engine is turned off as long as the doors remain closed. Once a door is opened (or the ~10 minutes expire), the Bluestar powers down like all other accessories.

That makes sense, but I wonder if the stock OnStar module behaved that way? (I doubt it).

Makes me wonder if the BLUEStar module doesn't/can't draw its power from the same source as the VCM?

Actually the onstar module, and therefore the bluestar, get battery power, not reserve power. They should both go into a low power mode when the activity on the vehicle bus quiets down. (After about 10 minutes)
