Mic Volume to high and Audio Level Keeps Reseting

Hi Chris/Costar,

I continue to have the problem where the volume level, after setting it to a value like 10, resets to 0 without any notice and without touching any of the OnStar buttons. It will retain it for maybe 2 or 3 weeks and then boom, it goes to 0. I had this problem before and you had replaced the unit but the problem continues. After loading the April code it seemed to have gone away for several months but started again. Nothing weird is happening with the vehicle (battery goes dead, other electrical issues, etc).

Also, with the newest update (from April) I have the mic gain set to the lowest level (-24) and the preAmp checkbox is unchecked but it is still too loud - you can hear a pin drop in the van. Is there anyway to decrease it further?

Would greatly appreciate your help with these issues. The wife is getting very frustrated again...
