Battery Died, BlueStar now Dead?

Postby romeyjdogg » August 24th, 2011, 9:59 am

So I have an 09 G8 GT and my Bluestar unit was working fine until my car battery died the other day. I came out and it was completely gone, no lights, no power locks, nothing. So, I jumped it using a friends vehicle. Now, my Bluestar unit will not turn on at all. There is no light in the rear view mirror at all anymore, nothing comes on. I tried disconnecting and reconnecting without any luck. Anybody else have this issue?

I had a similar issue my Cadillac SRX. I just disconnected the positive batter cable. Let it sit for about 5 mins and then reattached. Worked fine after that.

Tried last night, but no dice. Plugged into my computer and nothing. Tried again and got RED/GREEN/OFF indefinitely. :?:

it is not dead what you have ro do is connect and update the firmware even if it was the moat current before the battery died. this has happened to me a couple of times. u need to have dsp open and connect in the software as u connect the usb cable. its kinda tricky but it works every time
