High Pitch Nose on Receiver's End

High Pitch Nose on Receiver's End

Postby NTMID8 » August 1st, 2011, 5:26 pm

Hello.

I just got my Bluestar and installed in my 2005 Suburban. The functions seem to work beautifully and the call quality on my end inside the truck is amazing. However, the person I am calling gets a high pitch noise in their earpiece, much like feedback. It does this whether I am placing the call or receiving the call and sometimes it is constant for the length of the call or intermittent. Again, my side of the call is crystal clear.

Any ideas?

Most likely, the microphone gain needs to be lowered.
This can be easily accomplished by pressing the red mirror button for three seconds while on a call.
Then press the white button to lower the gain until you sound good to the caller.
Press the red button again to save the settings.

I have a similar problem. People who receive my calls here a tinny, hollow sounding voice, that is irritating. I have left myself messages as I try to tweak the gain from top to bottom and no matter the gain position on the musical scale, it sounds the same.

I am experienceing the same issue. I have tried lowering an raising the mic gain but with only a suttle change at the lowest gain setting. Have you resolved your mic issue?
