Anyone have iPhone 4 working?

Wow... this gets stupider and stupider... My wife's iPhone 4 (4.0.1) connects just fine, every time. Mine (4.3.1) fails every time after the initial pairing. Damn iPhone.

Chris, is there a way to do a "factory reset" or anything on the Bluestar?

Tried it again with the new iPhone firmware, fresh install. Still doesn't work. Chris, is there a way to do a "factory reset" or anything on the Bluestar? I'd like to get a clean slate at both the Bluestar end and the iPhone end and try it with both of them as clean as possible. This is really starting to drive me crazy, not to mention its unusable for me unless I go forget the device and re-pair it every time I get in the truck. :(

Any updates here, Chris? Still looking for some sort of factory reset option.

Thanks,

i have same problem with iphone4 verizon and GMC acadia. it worked the first time, got out of car (turned off) and it repaired the first time. Ever since, its does not repair and the only way to fix it was to unplug the blurstar, replug and then repair.

I might have to send this back unless we get answers or some explanation as to why it does not pair automatically each time.

If you are having trouble with auto-pairing, its best to try and clear the memory from the bluestar and your cell to reset everything.
This is easily done by holding the RED button on the mirror for about 7-10 seconds. This will erase the stored phone memory from the bluestar and cause a reboot. The unit will come back up in pairing mode automatically since there are no cell phones stored.
Next, erase the cell phone memory and re-learn the cell. Passcode 0000.

Remember the bluestar can hold only 4 phones and it attempts to pair to them in the order in which they were learned. So learn the most used phone first.
The unit will connect and pair to more than 4 phones, but since it holds only 4 in memory, it will not auto-pair more than the first 4.

Please report back if this helps.

Mine definitely still does NOT work. Latest firmware on both the iPhone4 and the Bluestar. Do we have confirmation that this is working correctly for anyone with the latest firmware on the iPhone? Any chance to swap this Bluestar out? I'm at my wits end on this one... Love the product when it works, but the only time I can get it to work is if I re-pair it every time. :(

Thanks,
-Brad

Wow... ok, so after doing the reset on the Bluestar and re-pairing last night with the iPhone, it still didn't work... Or so I thought. I really had written it off until I got a call in the truck today and it came in over the Bluestar! So then I started paying attention to it and realized that it was reconnecting every single time. It's worked correctly 10+ times in a row now. No clue why that reset worked, but it did...

FYI, iPhone 4.3.1
Bluestar version 11-0401

Finally able to enjoy the integration again.

Thanks for following up Chris.

iPhone 4 has worked flawlessly. Never any trouble reestablishing pairing always automatic. Installed in a 2008 Silverado in about 15 minutes. Removed screws holding panel under steeringwheel (including parking brake screw). Unsnapped panel. Removed newly exposed screws on left side of lower central panel and unsnapped. This exposes onstar module. Snap out and unplug onstar plug in Bluestar and zip tie for no rattles. Paired first time and has continued to work ever since. Voice calling using steering wheel talking mouth is priceless.

I've had the Bluestar 2011 working in my 2009 Pontiac G8 for close to a year with my Motorola phone. I just "upgraded" to the Verizon iphone4 (4.2.8) and am now experiencing the same problems most (all) others seem to have. I can quickly pair the iphone to the Bluestar unit, but it will not automatically re-pair after they've been disconnected for over an hour or so. If I return to the car within an hour, it will usually re-pair!!?? I've gotten in the habit of manually re-pairing the devices each time I get in the car, but would greatly appreciate any upgrades that would correct this issue!!

My iphone4 works most of the time as long as I answer from the handset, but i do intermittently get an issue where the call answers but using the internal speaker/mic and I have to press the sources button to get the audio out of the bluestar. Whenever I try and use the rear view mirror buttons to answer the call is dropped. i have not checked my firmware version but am planning on doing that today.
