Updates for newly purchased bluestar2010

Do the newly purchased units come with the most recent updates or do I need to download them?

Units are always shipped with the very latest release code installed.
No need to upgrade.

Any ideas on how to fix the bluestar only working sparingly using the phone button on the rearview mirror? Just bought the unit and installed. Phone is linked and incoming calls are showing on radio and ringing in the speakers but the phone button is not answering it when pushed on the mirror.

The mirror buttons need to be pressed for about one second to activate the functions properly.
Are you pressing the button too briefly perhaps?
