New version of the BLUESTAR EMBEDDED SOFTWARE version 11-0401

Major improvements include:
DIC support.
Displays - Name of phone when paired.
Volume level when in volume adjust mode
Mic level when in Mic adjust mode
Caller ID on incoming calls

Talking Mouth Mute function:
Now a quick press of the talking mouth mutes the radio (like factory)
Press and hold for one second to activate voice dial

Down Arrow now Ends call (You can still use talking mouth too.)

Improved CLASS2 radio muting function

Bug fix includes Linking Hang that could happen if phone is not available when linking.

Use the CPU to upgrade.

Question: Should it say 'Voice Dial' when a call comes in (displays this on the radio).

Very cool how it shows the phone's name on the DIC, and absolutely love the CallerID!!!

Also very glad to see my mute button working for the radio again, wasn't a deal breaker by any means but it's great having it be a multi-function button.

Was glad to find out this wasn't an April Fool's prank, I was half expecting the radio to read 'April Fools!'

It should read caller ID during incoming calls, and say Voice Dial when you make an outgoing call.

I like the phone name feature too. Especially if there are multiple phones paired, its easy to see who you're linked too.

Also, check out the mic gain and volume gain controls. Makes setting these much easier.

On the one incoming call test I did, my radio said 'Voice Dial' on the radio display with the incoming callers CallerID on the DIC, will try it some more over the weekend though. Definitely love this upgrade so far, can't wait to dabble with the audio settings.

1. What is DIC support?
2. I keep reading that the phone's name appears on the DIC, where is the DIC?

Sorry for all the replies but I am at work so only get to work on this during break and lunch. I am not sure if mine is working maybe someone can explain what I might be doing wrong. This is for a 2008 Pontiac G6 sedan. From what I read the radio has the DIC within the deck 2nd line of the display.

This morning I loaded the newest software 11-0401 using the Costar programming utility, after programming it said it was successful and I checked the version to make sure it was the newest. I then pulled the power from the module and reinstalled the connectors to cause a reboot. (power was off). I made a call and my radio displays "Voice call" in the upper part of the display and the lower part was blank,the call was perfect. Had my wife call me and the radio displayed I believe "on Call" in the upper part of the display but the lower part of the display is blank except for a small phone in the lower left hand corner, again the call was perfect.
If anyone can help me I would appricate it.

Sounds like it's working like it's supposed to, not sure what you're asking I guess.
