Interference with remote start in G8

I recently installed a Bluestar II in my 09 G8 and I've noticed it's interfering with my remote start. The process is to hit lock twice then the start button. I hit lock once then the range goes to crap. I noticed the Bluestar is flashing the rear mirror led red when I hit the lock button. Unhooking it restores my normal range. Any suggestions?

I have the same issue. I also tested by unplugging the bluestar and this solves the remote start range issue. Any idea why this is happening and could this be addressed?

Mine is doing the EXACT same thing. I had never noticed....just thought something was wrong with remote. Have replaced batteries etc. Still very low range. Unplugged the unit....voila....my long range has returned. WTH?
