3.5mm jack

What is the 3.5mm jack used for on the BlueStar 2010?

This will provide the streaming audio output when the software is upgraded to support this. you can run it into an aux or rear input to allow streaming from the cell ie Pandora.

Hello everyone,
I just recieved a bluestar today and installed in an 05 CTS with Nav. I noticed the 3.5mm jack as well and found this thread. In this thread it was indicated software support was coming for the use of the 3.5 jack, is the jack useable now? Is this an input or output jack?

This is (or will be) an output for Audio streaming. The onstar path is mono so we use this to provide a stereo output.
