I Just bought this 2002 Escalade and wanted to know if this product would even work - It came equipped with onstar but I only want to use bluetooth.

Unfortunately, trucks build in 2002 used the older analog only onstar module which is not plug and play compatible with the BlueSTAR.
The new onstar unit was rolled out in cars first (2002) then, trucks got the updated unit in 2003.
This is somewhat dependant on the vehicle though. Models destined to be discontinued in the near future did not get the modified unit.
