I lose signal onthe BS

Postby Gidish » May 15th, 2011, 8:22 pm

I have the BS-2010 with the current SW update to 11-0401. After installing it into the car, it worked great. After a few minutes the light indicator goes off and I am unable to reconnect. I do not have any functions with the mirror. I connected the utility and it didn't show any activity including the signal. I unplugged the BS unit from the vehicle and checked the status again and was able to communicate to the BS. Connected it back to the car and had activity with a signal and it worked fine...for a few minutes. I lost the connection, mirror LED's went dead, and the status tool showed no signal.

Any ideas? Do ineed to to do a DSP update as well?

I just received my BS today, installed it no problem, but now I am having the exact same issue you are describing. I have an 07 CTS, I pulled the plug and tried again, worked great. But after only for one call. Help, please.

I just began having the same problem you describe. 2007 Trailblazer. Mirror light goes dark. The module locks up, and the only way I can get it to "wake up" is by physically disconnecting the wires form the box. In this locked up state, as I said there is no mirror light, and the LED on the Bluestar Box itself is solid red. This is a major problem for me.

I alos am still having the issue where the call is answered and/or placed, and the cellphone connects the call, but the radio becomes unmuted. In this state, the phone is not useable because the audio is shut off from the earpiece and no audio can be heard through the stereo. Tpyically a manual reconnect of the bluetooth through the phone settings solves this problem.

I have also been having the same problem with losing connection. It started after installing the last version of software.

It's been a while since my initial post and I am still having the same issues. I am finally giving up on the device and will try to sell it. I returned it and Chris (great customer service) reflashed and checked the unit for me (he stated he may replace it, but I am not the original owner). I re installed it and I encountered the same issues. It even gets "stuck" and thinks it is on a call and will drain the battery overnight (red light flashing). Its a shame because I was really excited about the product. Good luck guys.

Mr. Costar suggested to me that maybe I should try downgrading the firmware in my device to hel;p solvce some of the radio muting and device freezing issues I have been experiencing. This weekend, I downgraded to version 1028 . So far (4-days), the device has auto connected perfectly, muted the radio properly, and has not frozen once. I'll report again once I have two weeks of testing time.
