DSP stands for Digital Signal Processor.

This is the bluetooth processor in the bluestar.
We used to have a seperate utility to update it (CoSTAR DSP Programming Utility), but now, it can be updated with the main CoSTAR Programming Utility.

Programming the DSP is similar to programming the main processor, except instead of .CFW files, you use the .DFW files.

There have been three releases to date. The original, the update for echo and noise cancellation, and the update for A2DP streaming.
Update 2 or 3 need a license file.

All new units are shipping with the A2DP code. (As of July 2012)
