I have an HP laptop running Windows 7 and it is 64 bit. I was able to install the correct driver, the Bluestar showed up under the USB section as a USB Serial Converter, I had to check the "load VCP" in the advanced settings in device manager in order to get a COM port to appear. When I start up the programming utility it cannot find the Bluestar, I manually choose the right com port, but it doesn't seem to be communicating with the device. I can't even do a get version. Are there known issues with Win 7 or 64 bit OSs? I have an older 32 bit Vista PC, I might try that tonight.

Follow up. I had to unplug the bluestar from the onstar connections, then I was able to connect to it from my Win 7 PC. I upgraded it to the latest code 12_0718, and now I am able to connect to it with the onstar connected as well.
