I wish I could report the same successes...
I initially had problems when I first installed the BlueStar unit back in February... they were never resolved (
viewtopic.php?f=50&t=212). And, since I'm a Mac user, the CPU program wouldnt run on my computer. So, I finally decided it this was important enough to buy a copy of windows and partition my hard drive, and start dual booting my mac so I can run the BlueStar utility software.
The good news: All of the installs went well. The drivers work and I'm able to now upgrade/downgrade the BlueStars' firmware. I went ahead and did that last night to the most recent version that is supposed to be the end all be all for GM class 2.
The bad news: After finally thinking I was going to have a working unit, I ran out to the truck, reinstall BlueStar and decided to give it a go. Dialed a number via my phone, the onstar light switched to red, the radio muted then came right back on... the call progressed via my phone instead of the bluestar unit and when I hung up, the LED light stayed red and required a complete disconnect to turn off. So, I've gone from 50% usability to 0%. Does anyone want a reduced cost BlueStar unit? Ha!
Chris - Any help is appreciated. Like i've always said, I love the concept, but I just can't get the dang thing to work!
Thanks.
