I have installed an aftermarket stereo (Pioneer AVH-P4200dvd) and I am wondering if the BlueStar unit relies on the factory radio? Upon installation of the stereo, I did maintain the OnStar capability in my 2005 GM.

IF you retained onstar compatibility, then the BLUESTAR should work as well.
