mic gain

Hi Chris. I've had my Bluestar 2010 for a couple of months now and people still say I sound like I'm talking in a tin can,I've adjusted mic gain from lowest to highest with no differance,am I doing something wrong

I have the exact problem. i changed the mic volumr settingswith no real good setting found. it currently is on 8 as the best gain setting.
BUT it still sounds horrible according to people I have called.
What can I do to fix this???
