Voice Dialing

I have a 2007 Chev. Silverado. Anyone having problems with the voice dial? I've been told by CoStar to reduce the mic volume (which I have done). This has not solved the problem. It comes on and tells me to speak now but, when I say a command, it just randomly calls another number or something I've not stored in my cell. It's beginning to be very irritating. I have to use my cell and hit the call button on whomever I want to call. Not really "hands free" is it?

I just recieved my Bluestar today and installed it.
i too have a 2007 Silverado - the voice control dialing inmy truck was very random as well and no where near the words that i spoke.
Must be a bug in the system?

I have asked CoStar about this a few times and all they told me was to reduce the voice volume, which I did. I told them that it still does not work and asked for any other suggestion. To date, no further reply. Kinda bummed out.....

What phone do you have? I have an LG Optima S (LS670) on Sprint and the voice dialing has always sucked! (especially since the Gingerbread update - Android 2.3.3)
It is particularly bad when I use my Bluetooth headset. I had this problem with my Bluespoon AX2 and, even after upgrading to a Jabra Icon, it still does this a lot.
It either grabs someone from my phone book who I didn't want, or dials some random sequence of numbers.
All that to say: the issue could easily be with your phone and not the BLUEStar.

I have a Samsung DROID Charge and an iPhone4 paired with the device. Doesn't work with either so I doubt very much that it's the phones. When I try voice calling it does what yours does. Grabs someone else in my phone book. It's even said something that isn't in my phone book. If I do voice number dialing, 8 out of 10 attempts saying a phone number works as it should. I'd much rather to be able to say "call home" and it work as it should. Hopefully in the next update sent out, they will address this problem.

Turning down the mic gain often to the lowest setting might help improve voice dialing. Some phones are definitely better than others.
