Just for kicks. Next time time try and answer a call with your rear view mirror controls to see if it works.

I have had the same problem with my iPhone 5. My iPhone 4S worked fine picking up calls. The iPhone 5 has worked only once or twice, but usually drops the call and turns on the radio. My service is with AT&T.

I've tried to answer both with steering wheel button and mirror button and both drop the call.

I was having nothing but problems with the link between iPhone 5 and the Costar, all of which I have heard you all posting. I completely solved the problem by dumping all the phones in the memory of the Costar by holding down the red button on the rear view mirror for 10+ seconds, then re-linked the iPhone 5. Been flawless ever since! I hope this works for everyone else!

That does not work for me. I've tried it many times.

Anyone install iOS 6.1 yet?
Hopeful this will help those with this issue.
Still unclear why it effects only some.
Does not seem to be service provider or vehicle related...

I'm having the identical problem. Brand new Bluestar, IPhone 5, Verizon, 2004 SRX with navigation. I can place calls, but not answer them. When unit rings, as soon as I press the call button, the cell phone disconnects, radio comes back on, and indicator light returns to green. Outgoing calls are no problem.

IOS 6.0.2 software installed on IPhone 5.

UPDATE: Sometimes I can answer calls with the Bluestar, but not consistently. Usually the Bluestar breaks the connection when I press the talk button.

This is starting to get very annoying. I'm really hoping iOS 6.1 fixes the problem. I'm in the car commuting 2 to 3 hours a day.

Right now whenever the phone rings I have to quickly turn off the radio (so it doesn't interrupt me when it turns back on), then answer the phone. The phone thinks it's connected to Bluetooth but it''s not, so I have to manually switch the connection back to iphone or speaker so I can answer. At this point, I've left someone hanging for 10 seconds or so, and I'm still scrambling to find a wired headset so I can have the conversation.

Sounds like you need more hands for your hands free device!!!

FYI iOS 6.1 for apple devices went public today. Hope you all have better luck. Mine work but mine worked before the update.
