I have Bluestar 2010 on a 2008 Saturn. It has been working flawlessly for the most part. About 3 months ago I upgraded the firmware to the latest and it worked even better.
Recently, the battery went dead in my car from sitting to long. After recharging the battery, everything came back to life except the Bluestar. The LED flashes Red and Green on the unit. I unplugged, replugged and I still get no lights on the Onstar mirror.
I cannot connect using the CPU Programming Utility. I tried 3 different computers and one of them was the computer that I used a few months ago to upgrade the firmware. The Bluestar is detected on the PC, it loads the drivers and sees the unit... but there is no way I can connect to this.
I was hoping that I could connect and re-download to see if I can get it working but no luck so far.
The light flashes are: Green, Red, Red, Red, Red
I plugged the GM Onstar system back in and the lights on the mirror work and Onstar works fine... it seems to be a Bluestar issue.
Do you think that this thing is dead, and if it is, can it be repaired? I love the device... otherwise but want to make sure I check everything before recycling...
Thanks
Steve
