Change Ringtone

Postby fpkelly » October 14th, 2011, 10:12 am

So how would I go about changing the ring tone? Not a big fan of it sounding like the General Lee when receiving a call

You will find an app note on the website (bluestar product page) describing the process.
You can even make your own if you are musically inclined.

What would be really cool is if it defaulted to the same ringtone OnStar uses. I mean, if you're going to keep it looking stock, might as well go all the way right?

Good idea. I will see if I can replicate that and distribute it with an update or post it here somewhere.

Every time I try to do this, the CPU goes gaga saying something about unexpected data. The unit freezes up and my laptop cannot connect even after power cycling the unit.

I assume I am supposed to do this with the unit plugged into the car? Does it matter if the file uses CR/LF for EOL (as opposed to just LF)?
