WHY DID YOU STOP WORKING?!

I have a 2007 Saturn Sky Redline.

I installed this a few months ago, and it worked great. Perfect, in fact, for months. Now, the OnStar lights are not illuminating, and the green LED indicator is not coming on. I tried to connect the computer via the USB, and it just gives a low tone and will not connect any laptop. This thing is going in the trash soon. One of the most frustrating things ever.

Did it die?! why did it randomly stop working? I do not want to take all the plastic panels apart to get at this thing. If I do, it's only to throw this piece of junk in the garbage.
