Any luck with music streaming?

Any luck with music streaming?

Postby dboycamaro » October 2nd, 2012, 2:49 am

I haven't been on the forum in a while and I was just curious if there has been any luck with audio streaming. The last time I was on here earlier in the year this issue was being worked on...any luck? I am using my bluestar in a 2004 gmc envoy. My system has the ISimple adapter hooked up and as for now this is what I am using to listen to music on my phone. Bluetooth is working fine, although recently it froze on me a couple of times. Simple car shut off and engine start reset and fixed the issue.

I would like to use this too. Does the device/software support music streaming?

Version 12-0718 does support streaming out of the headphone jack on the unit.
DSP might also need to be upgraded.
Contact techsupport for details.

What about plans to play music over Bluetooth directly to the vehicle speakers?

The onstar audio path is mono, so this is not good for streaming.
We are working in a new product that will interface with the XM system. This will allow direct streaming in stereo.
It is designed to interface directly to the bluestar, or stand alone on its own. Stay tuned for updates as we get closer to releasing this.

Couple questions...

1) is the audio still mono when using the headphone jack plugged into the blustar?
2) How is the new product coming along?

Thanks!

Mark

The headphone audio jack out put has always been stereo the direct connectors to onstar have and always will be mono.

Haven't logged in for some time. Did the update for music streaming come out? If so....what's the latest version?
