You will find the VCIM in the right rear quarter panel behind the strut tower
Here is a location diagram

So I decided to ask my local Cadillac dealer to install the BlueStar device for me, which he did for $165.00

But I cannot get it to work now. Initially, I was able to pair the device with my phone, but there seemed to be no volume when I made a call and none of the onStar buttons seemed to have an effect on the BlueStar device. So I decided to use the CoStar Utility to check the firmware versions and do some logging.

I run WIndows 7 64 bit. WHen I attached the USB cable, windows recognized the USB port and created an appropriate device in device manager. But the CoStar Utility would could not communicate with the device. The LED light on the mirror and the BlueStar were blinking red. I spent so much time with my car in accessory mode that the battery died. I charged the battery and now the BlueStar doesnt even light. The OnStar LED that shows power is green, but nothing on the BlueStar.

Any help?
