Just recived the sample and I am about to install it into a 2009 Montana. Where is the onstar unit located?

*edit* Did some digging in Mitchel and I think I located it..
I belive what Im looking for is the VCIM (Vehicle Communication interface module) located behind the upperleft side of the intrument panel, to the left of the steering column.

Yes, it is located under the instrument panel upper trim panel.

Install was cake. Left and right pillar trims are removed with ease, as was the upper dash pad (no tools required) The VCIM was just behind the instrument cluster held in by a retention bracket with a single 10m bolt. Remove the VCIM, plugged the OEM molex back into the Bluestar 2010 and secured the unit down to the existing bracket with a couple of large tie straps.

Programming was a breeze, the Iphone paired right away. Just needed to adjust the volume slightly as per the supplied guide. Incoming call volume was handled then by the factory radio and displayed "Onstar" while a call was in progress.
