I went to the dealer and asked where the OnStar device was in my Tahoe. The parts guy printed a schematic of the OnStar parts. It showed that mine was behind the glovebox...up a little... just behind the passenger airbag. Connnections were easy to get to with the glovebox hanging down.

How about hooking up the audio cable for music streaming, did you have luck with this?

Never tried hooking up the audio cable for music streaming.
